Yes, this time we present eight of the world's grandest mosques in the various countries.


1. Al-Haram Mosque, Saudi Arabia
Name of Masjid Al Haram Saudi Arabia is not something foreign to Muslims, especially those who already run a compulsory religious pilgrimage of the holy land of Mecca. The biggest mosque was built around the Ka’abah which is the direction of Qiblah for Muslims who were praying.

According to the history of Islam, the Kaaba (Bakkah) once the first made since the time of the Prophet Adam and continued at the time of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Prophet Ismail, who then added a large mosque nearby with the name of Al-Haram Mosque.

Al-Haram Mosque occupies land area of 4.00802 million square meters and can accommodate as many as 900 thousand pilgrims. The number of pilgrims from all over the world who come to worship continues to increase as much as 4 million people per year.

2. Al-Nabawi Mosque, Saudi Arabia
Masjid Al-Nabawi Madinah is the second largest and the holiest mosque after the Masjid al-Haram in Saudi Arabia. The history of this mosque building was not apart of the journey of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad SAW when heading to the city of Medina. The capacity of mosques space can accommodate as many as 600 thousand pilgrims by the addition of one million people per year.

3. Al-Aqsa Mosque of Jerusalem
Al-Aqsa is the third-largest mosque in the city of Jerusalem which is the border between the Palestinian areas by Israel. The concept of building looks magnificent mosques and Muslim pilgrims have a capacity of 400 thousand people, each pole dome towering along over 37 meters.

4. Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, Brunei
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque is a mosque, the Islamic empire centered in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan Brunei Sultanate. One of the grandest mosques in the world is made spectacularly in the Asia Pacific region, where the concept of modern architecture combined with beautiful views of a pond and a boat on the front page of the imperial mosques. Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque built in 1958 and used as one of the main tourist attraction in Brunei.

5. Sultan Ahmed Mosque, Turkey
Icon of Turkey is Istanbul. Apart from being the largest city, Istanbul also has a luxurious and historic mosques such as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque or popularly known as the Blue Mosque. Sultan Ahmed Mosque built during the reign of Ahmed I (1609-1616), the completeness of a king's tomb, madrasah and hospital. The capacity of the available space can accommodate as many as 10 thousand pilgrims.

6. Taj'ul Masjid, India

7. Istiqlal Mosque, Indonesia

8. Zahir Mosque, Malaysia
Masjid Zahir is a stately mosque in Alor Star, Kedah, Malaysia which occupies approximately 11.58.3 square meter location. Even the mosque was used as one of the largest and oldest mosques in Malaysia.
